Southport, North Carolina – The Brunswick Sheriff’s Charitable Foundation, Inc. awarded scholarships with a total value of $7,000 to these deserving students. We are extremely proud of this great group of students.
The Charitable Foundation’s scholarships are designated for children of Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office employees and retired employees. Criteria for the scholarship include an essay on the impact of a Law Enforcement in their life, school grades and other accomplishments. The scholarships are funded by private donations. The Brunswick Sheriff’s Charitable Foundation is offering one or more scholarships valued up to $1,500. Those eligible to apply must be:
• The child or stepchild of a current, retired, or deceased employee of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, or whose legal guardian is a current, retired, or deceased employee of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office; and
• A graduating high school senior who has been accepted at an accredited post secondary school; or an individual up to, and including, the age of 21 who is enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited post secondary school or has a gap between high school and an accredited post secondary school.
