Establishment of the BCSO Volunteer Suzanne Strum Support Special Project
Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Suzanne Strum is currently undergoing treatments for Stage IV Breast Cancer involving the lining of the lung, lymph nodes and bone. Suzanne has started a new treatment regimen, resulting in extremely high co-payments. A special project has been established to raise and distribute funds directly in support of Volunteer Suzanne Strum in the following areas:
- Medical and drug expenses including deductibles and co-pays.
- Other expense items as may be approved from time-to-time by the BCSF, Inc. Board of Directors.
Funds will be raised through various events by employees of the BCSO and their families, BCSO Volunteers and their families, and friends of Suzanne Strum. Funds raised will not be distributed directly to Suzanne Strum. Rather funds will be distributed, to the extent they are available, for appropriate expenses (see paragraph 2 above) directly to the service or material provider.
We are accepting monetary donations on Suzanne’s behalf and checks can be made out to BSCF and mailed to the Foundation, P.O.Box 10820, Southport, NC 28461. Please earmark the check for Suzanne Strum Medical Fund.
